Timed to highlight the 25th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action in 2020, the “I  Equality” campaign kicks off with a limited edition t-shirt designed exclusively by artist Marco Santini, declaring “Equality” in 50 languages.

The campaign will electrify engagement and awareness for UN Women’s mission across fashion and media, through select, philanthropically dedicated influencers with a global reach. Award-winning artist Marco Santini, renowned for his graffiti-style art filled with messages of love and positivity, created the exclusive design, presented in pink cotton with a black or white heart form showcasing the word “Equality” in 50 languages.

At a time when UN Women has launched a global intergenerational campaign to bring women’s rights and empowerment to the forefront with their “Generation Equality: Realizing women’s rights for an equal future” campaign, the Metropolitan New York Chapter aims to bring awareness to the passage of 25 years since world leaders adopted the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action on women’s equal participation in all areas of life, and to engage gender equality advocates across generations to rectify its shortcomings.

The t-shirt is available for purchase on our website and at Metro NY Chapter events. Proceeds support UN Women programs in nearly 100 countries that mobilize governments and civil society.

Co-President Mary Luke pins artist Marco Santini with a HeForShe lapel pin to thank him for his contribution of the limited edition design.
