Men Come Out in Force at Young Professionals HeForShe Mixer

The spirited atmosphere of our Young Professionals Happy Hour Mixer at Arlo Hotel NoMad was definitely a sight to be seen. Over 80 men and women came to mingle, learn, and show their support for HeForShe’s new campaign #CountMeIn.

Highlights from the event included educator Nicholas Ferroni speaking about the importance of getting young men and boys involved in supporting gender equality. Singer/songwriter Kashish performed her song "Stronger Together" and the HeForShe outreach team was present and actively engaging our guests to join the #CountMeIn campaign. Even Mrs. New York 2017, Alice Lee Giannetta, graced the floor with her crown and sash. We gathered all the men who came to the event for a group photo to show solidarity on gender equality.

At the end of the night, we announced our raffle prize winners and collected even more donations with our HeForShe dip jars. The total funds raised at the event was $2000 – not bad for a casual Thursday night! You can view our entire album here.
