In October 2013, Ogilvy & Mather’s office in Dubai launched a series of ads developed for UN Women. The idea for the ads first came while performing research on Google. According to Christopher Hunt, Art Director of the creative team, “When we came across these searches, we were shocked by how negative they were and decided we had to do something with them.” Then they developed the idea to place the text of the Google searches over the mouths of women portraits, as if to silence their voices.
